As one of the most visionary and influential fashion designers working today, Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons has consistently defied convention to define and redefine the fashion of our time. For her Autumn/Winter 2012-13 collection 2 Dimensions, flat garments remain as two-dimensional as possible when worn. Garments like this dress from the collection maintain their two-dimensional shape through rigid polyester felt sewn together with exposed stitching around the outer edges.
